Asiyah's prayer in Surah At-Tahrim 66:11 shows a woman who kept her faith privately hidden while living at the very center of Fir'awn's power. She asked Allah for two things: a home with Him in Paradise, and to be saved from Fir'awn himself and from his oppressive work, showing that her faith held firm despite her proximity to one of the greatest tyrants described in the Quran.

Asiyah's example is placed directly after the opposite case in the same surah: the disbelieving wives of Nuh and Lut, covered in Two of the Prophets' Wives Will Be Admitted to Hell-Fire: Who Are They? The following verse then names Maryam, the daughter of Imran, as a third example of sincere faith. Together, the three verses show that a person's standing with Allah is judged by their own belief, in either direction, regardless of who they are married to.

The Quran itself refers to her only as "the wife of Fir'awn," without naming her directly. The name Asiyah comes from the wider prophetic tradition, including a hadith in which Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said, "Many men reached perfection, but none among the women reached perfection except Maryam, daughter of Imran, and Asiyah, wife of Fir'awn" (Sahih al-Bukhari 5418).

Asiyah's standing is affirmed again in a separate hadith, in which Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, named her among only four women as the best of the people of Paradise: "The best of women among the people of Paradise are Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint Imran, and Asiyah bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh" (Musnad Ahmad 2896, graded authentic by scholars including Al-Albani, Ibn Hibban, and Al-Hakim). She is placed here alongside the Prophet's own wife and daughter, an honor entirely earned through her faith rather than through lineage or worldly status.
