Why Did Allah Create Us When He Has No Need of Our Worship?
نحن نعتقد أن الله هو مالك الملك وكل ما في هذا الكون، ما علمنا منه وما لا نعلم، هو تحت قهر الله عز وجل: فلماذا خلقنا وهو غني عن عبادتنا؟
There is no doubt that Allah is in no need of our worship:
(O humanity! It is you who stand in need of Allah, but Allah alone is the Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy. If He willed, He could eliminate you and produce a new creation. And that is not difficult for Allah at all.) [Fatir 35:15-17]
(If you disbelieve, then know that Allah is truly not in need of you, nor does He approve of disbelief from His servants.) [Az-Zumar 39:7]
And His Creation of the children of Adam and His order to them to worship Him is only to honor them and have mercy on them and admit them into heaven, so that man is more honored than all other creations:
(Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures.) [Al-Isra 17:70]
And man is tested and afflicted by Allah until he submits and achieves obedience to Allah willingly:
(Whoever wills let them believe, and whoever wills let them disbelieve.) [Al-Kahf 18:29]
لا شك أن الله غني عن عبادتنا
(يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّـهِ ۖ وَاللَّـهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ * إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ * وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّـهِ بِعَزِيزٍ) [فاطر 35: 15-17]
(إِن تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّـهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَ) [الزمر 39: 7]
وخلقه سبحانه وتعالى لبني آدم وأمره لهم بعبادته لإكرامهم ورحمتهم وإدخالهم الجنة وحتى يكون هذا الإنسان أكرم من سائر الخلق
(وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا) [الإسراء 17: 70]
وهو في امتحان وابتلاء من الله حتى يحقق العبودية طائعا مختارا
(فَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِن وَمَن شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ) [الكهف 18: 29]
1. Absolute Divine Self-Sufficiency (Al-Ghina al-Mutlaq) | كمال الغنى الإلهي المطلق عن العالمين
Allah possesses complete, intrinsic self-sufficiency: "O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy" (35:15). Unlike mortal monarchs who depend on armies, taxes, and servants to sustain power, Allah's majesty was complete before creation and remains unchanged by it.
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّـهِ ۖ وَاللَّـهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ (سورة فاطر: 15)
الله جل جلاله هو الغني بذاته عن كل ما سواه: {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّـهِ ۖ وَاللَّـهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ}؛ فليس كملوك الدنيا الذين يستعينون بالجند والخدم، بل هو قيوم السموات والأرض الذي يطعم ولا يُطعم.

In Sahih Muslim (2577), Allah reveals in a Hadith Qudsi: "O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, human and jinn, were as pious as the most righteous heart of any one man among you, it would not increase My kingdom in anything... It is only your deeds that I record for you and then recompense you for."
مَّا يَفْعَلُ اللَّـهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِن شَكَرْتُمْ وَآمَنتُمْ (سورة النساء: 147)
بين الحديث القدسي في صحيح مسلم (2577) حقيقة الأمر: "يا عبادي إنكم لن تبلغوا ضري فتضروني، ولن تبلغوا نفعي فتنفعوني... إنما هي أعمالكم أحصيها لكم ثم أوفيكم إياها، فمن وجد خيراً فليحمد الله، ومن وجد غير ذلك فلا يلومن إلا نفسه".
3. Worship as a Mercy for the Worshipper | العبادة منفعة خالصة للعبد وتزكية لروحه
The command to worship is an act of pure benevolence toward humanity. Prayer grounds human anxiety, charity cleanses greed, fasting disciplines desires, and monotheism liberates the mind from subservience to idols and tyrants. Humans are the sole beneficiaries of their worship.
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ (سورة الروم: 44)
الأمر بالعبادة تشريع رحمة بالإنسان؛ فالصلاة صلة وطمأنينة، والزكاة طهارة ونماء، والصوم تقوى وتهذيب؛ فالمستفيد الأول والأخير من العبادة هو العبد نفسه، بتزكية قلبه في الدنيا واستحقاق الخلود في جنات النعيم.
4. Manifestation of Divine Generosity and Wisdom | إظهار كمال الأسماء والصفات الإلهية بالخلق والرحمة
Creation is the manifestation of Allah's eternal names and attributes: He is the Creator (Al-Khaliq), the Merciful (Ar-Rahman), the Forgiver (Al-Ghaffar), and the Bestower (Al-Wahhab). He brought forth beings endowed with intellect and choice to shower them with His generosity and display His unmatched wisdom.
إِنَّ اللَّـهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ (سورة الذاريات: 58)
اقتضت أسماء الله وصفاته الحسنى وجود الخلق؛ فهو الخالق البارئ المصور، والرحمن الرحيم، والغفور التواب؛ فخلق عباداً يهديهم بكرمه، ويغفر لذنوبهم برحمته، ويسبغ عليهم نعمه ظاهرة وباطنة في مشهد مهيب لجوده المطلق.
5. Dignifying Humanity Through Moral Choice and Volitional Devotion | تكريم بني آدم بحرية الاختيار والعبودية الطوعية
Allah elevated the children of Adam above much of creation by endowing them with intellect, moral conscience, and free will. Unlike involuntary creation whose submission is instinctual, human worship is voluntary. By testing humanity in earthly life through moral choices, Allah provides human beings the opportunity to earn divine honor and eternal paradise through willing devotion.
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا (سورة الإسراء: 70)
كرم الله بني آدم وميزهم بالعقل وحرية الإرادة؛ فليست عبوديتهم كعبودية سائر الكائنات المسخرة قهراً، بل هي عبودية طوعية واختيارية؛ ومن خلال هذا الابتلاء والاختبار الإلهي يرتقي المؤمن بإرادته الخالصة لينال رضوان الله وكرامته في جنات النعيم.
