1. Consumerist vs. Investment Spending
First, Investment spending: The investor invests his money to benefit from it, such as when someone buys a property to rent it out and benefit from it, or he builds a factory and runs it to sell products and make profits. Second, consumerist spending: is to spend money to buy food, clothing, or a car to use for transportation.

أولاً: الإنفاق الاستثماري: أن يقوم صاحب المال بإنفاق ماله بما يعود عليه بالنفع، كم يشتري بماله عقارًا ليؤجره، فيحصل له الربح، أو يقوم بإنشاء مصنع ليبيع المنتجات ويحقق أرباحًا. ثانيًا: الإنفاق الاستهلاكي: بأن ينفق المال لشراء طعام أو لباس أو سيارة ليستعملها في تنقله.
2. Charity as a Divine Investment
Charity is a kind of investment spending, but it is an investment with Allah Almighty where the spender gives his money to the needy and he does not hope that he will get any worldly return, but he hopes that his reward is when he meets Allah, and when he rises in His hands, Almighty. What makes him give charity is his faith in Allah and his trust in His Promise.
2. الصدقة كاستثمار إلهي
أما الصدقة فإنه نوع من الإنفاق الاستثماري لكنه استثمار مع الله عز وجل، فالمنفق يعطي ماله للمحتاج وهو لا يرجو أن تعود عليه نفقته تلك بعائد دنيوي، إنما يرجو العائد عند الله يوم يقوم بين يديه سبحانه وتعالى، فالذي يحمله على الصدقة هو الإيمان بالله والثقة بوعده ورجاء ما عنده جل جلاله.
3. The Proof of Faith
This is what the Prophet pbuh means when he told Mo’ath: "Prayer is a light, charity is proof, and patience is illumination." Meaning that charity is proof of one’s faith. (Alms-tax is only for the poor and the needy, for those employed to administer it, for those whose hearts are attracted to the faith, for freeing slaves, for those in debt, for Allah’s cause, and for needy travelers. This is an obligation from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.) At-Tawbah 9: 60.
3. برهان الإيمان
وذلك المعنى هو الذي يشير إليه قول النبي ﷺ لمعاذ: "الصَّلاةُ نُورٌ، والصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهانٌ، والصَّبْرُ ضِياءٌ"، أي إن الصدقة دليل على إيمان المؤمنين. قول الله تعالى : (إنما الصدقات للفقراء والمساكين والعاملين عليها والمؤلفة قلوبهم وفي الرقاب والغارمين وفي سبيل الله وابن السبيل فريضة من الله) التوبة : 60.
