1. A Branch of Faith
A good word is a branch of faith. Narrated Abi Hurraira may Allah be Pleased with him, who said that the Prophet pbuh said: "Whosoever has faith in Allah and the Last day, should say a good word or be quiet." Agreed upon.

الكلمة الطيبة شعبة من شعب الإيمان. عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقل خيرا أو ليصمت" متفق عليه.

الكلمة الطيبة تألف القلوب، قال الله تعالى: (وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ ﴿٣٤﴾ وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٣٥﴾) فصلت 41: 34 إلى 35.
4. Salvage from Hellfire
A good word is a way to gain forgiveness and salvage from Hellfire. The Prophet pbuh said: "Avoid the Hellfire even with a part of a date, and whoever does not find one, then by saying a kind word." Bukhari and Muslim.
