{ لإِيلاَفِ }

Surah Quraysh: Verse 1
1. Let the people of Quraish thank their Lord for driving back the elephant and its owners from their sacred shrine, and bringing destruction and humiliation upon them. And let them thank their Lord also that He gave them security in their lands, and He made all people honour them for the sake of the sacred shrine. They would make trade trips in safety in both summer and winter: in winter to Yemen and in summer to Al-Sham (Syria), while neighbouring people were being waylaid on their travel routes.
{ إِيلاَفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ }
{ إِيلاَفِهِمْ }

2. They had become used to the two voyages each year: in winter to Yemen to transport the goods that came from India and Persia, and in summer to transport goods to Syria and the Roman kingdom and to take back merchandise that came to these places to the Arabian peninsula and the neighboring countries, India and Persia.
{ فَلْيَعْبُدُواْ رَبَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ }
Surah Quraysh: Verse 3
3. Therefore, let them worship Allah, the Lord of this House, Who made it a safe shrine and favoured them with security in their travels. It is He who made them an important trading centre. Let them thank Him for His favours and His countless blessings.
{ ٱلَّذِيۤ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍ }
{ آمَنَهُم }

Surah Quraysh: Verse 4
4. For, although Allah positioned Makkah in a barren valley which neither brings forth vegetation or yields crops, He Almighty eased the flow of people and trade to it, thus appeasing the hunger of its people, and securing them against what others feared.
