What is the Supplication (Dua) when riding any means of transport?
ما هو دعاء الركوب وفي أي سورة ورد؟
The Dua of riding is a beautiful acknowledgment of Allah's favors. It reminds the believer that the ability to travel: whether by car: plane: or animal: is a gift from the Creator. By reciting these words: we confess our inability to control these vast forces without Allah's guidance and power: while also remembering our ultimate return to Him.
دعاء الركوب هو استشعار دائم لنعمة الله وتسخيره للكون. فالمسلم حين يركب دابة أو وسيلة مواصلات حديثة: يتذكر بضعفه أنه ما كان ليتحكم في هذه القوى لولا تيسير الله له. هذا الدعاء يربط بين نعم الدنيا (الركوب والارتحال) وبين حقيقة الآخرة (الرجوع إلى الله): ليبقى القلب معلقاً بخالقه في كل أحواله.

(In order that you may mount firmly on their backs, and then may remember the Favor of your Lord when you are firmly mounted thereon, and say: "Glory be to the One Who has subjected these for us, for we could have never done so (on our own). And indeed, to our Lord we will (surely) return.")
(لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ * وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ)
