Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of anyone who has sinned provided these following conditions:
- Regretting the sin committed
- Ending the sin
- Having the determination to not commit it once again.
(As for those who repent, mend their ways, and let the truth be known, they are the ones to whom I will turn ˹in forgiveness˺, for I am the Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful.) Al-Baqara 2:160
(except those who repent, mend their ways, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their devotion to Allah; they will be with the believers. And Allah will grant the believers a great reward.) An-Nisa 4:146
(As for those who repent before you seize them, then know that Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.) Al-Ma’idah 5:34
(As for those who commit evil ignorantly ˹or recklessly˺, then repent afterwards and mend their ways, then your Lord is surely All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.) An-Nahl 16:119
(Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins.1 He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.)
