Surah Al-Isra'a is also known as Surah Bani Israel (Children of Israel). This name is widely recognized because the chapter highlights the history and divine decree regarding the Children of Israel.
تُسمى سورة الإسراء أيضاً بـ سورة بني إسرائيل؛ وقد اشتهرت هذه التسمية لورود ذكر قصة بني إسرائيل وتفاصيل أحوالهم في بدايتها ونهايتها.
The Holy Quran often has multiple names for its chapters based on the themes discussed. Surah Al-Isra'a is named after the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). تعدد أسماء السور في القرآن الكريم يعود عادةً للمواضيع المركزية التي تتناولها. سُميت سورة الإسراء بهذا الاسم تخليداً لذكرى رحلة النبي ﷺ الليلية من مكة إلى بيت المقدس. وتُعرف كذلك بسورة بني إسرائيل نظراً لما تضمنته من تفصيل لتاريخهم وما قضاه الله في حقهم من شأن الإفساد والعلُوّ في الأرض.
