The Marvelous Benefits of Dhikr | الفوائد العظيمة للذكر
1. Gaining Allah’s Pleasure
Gaining Allah’s Pleasure. (and men and women who remember Allah often, for all of them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward) Al-Ahzab 33:35. And considering the one who remembers Allah one who is oft-remembering.
1. الفوز برضا الله
الفوز برضا الله تعالى، قال الله تعالى : (والذاكرين الله كثيراً والذاكرات أعد الله لهم مغفرة وأجرا عظيماً). واعتباره عند الله من الذاكرين.
2. Purifying the Heart and Elevating Ranks
It removes worry from the heart and purifies it. Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said that everything has a polish, and the polish of hearts is the remembrance of Allah Almighty. Muadh bin Jabal narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Shall I not inform you of the best of your deeds, the purest of them with your Master, the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks and them striking yours?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The remembrance of Allah."
2. جلاء القلب ورفعة الدرجات
يزيل الهم عن القلب وينقيه، قال أبو الدرداء رضي الله عنه لكل شيء جلاء ، وان جلاء القلوب ذكر الله عز وجل. عن معاذ بن جبل قال : قال رسول الله : (ألا أخبركم بخير أعمالكم وأزكاها عند مليككم، وأرفعها في درجاتكم، وخيراً لكم من أن تلقوا عدوكم فتضربوا أعناقهم ويضربوا أعناقكم، قالوا : بلى يارسول الله، قال : ذكر الله).
3. Driving Away Satan and Salvation
Dhikr drives away Satan and suppresses him. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Satan is squatting on the heart of the son of Adam. If he becomes heedless and forgets, Satan whispers, but if he remembers Allah Almighty, Satan retreats." For this reason, Satan is called the retreating whisperer (Al-Waswas Al-Khannas). Dhikr pushes him away from you. Furthermore, Muadh bin Jabal narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "A human being has never done any deed more likely to save him from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah." 3. طرد الشيطان والنجاة من العذاب
الذكر يطرد الشيطان، ويقمعه، يقول ابن عباس رضي الله عنه: الشيطان جاثم على قلب ابن آدم، فإذا سها وغفل وسوس، فإذا ذكر الله تعالى خنس (أي تراجع) ولهذا سُمي الشيطان بالوسواس الخناس، الذكر يخنسه أي يبعده عنك، فعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : (مَا عَمِلَ آدَمِيٌّ عَمَلًا قَطُّ أَنْجَى لَهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ) [رواه مالك في الموطأ والترمذي].
4. Protection from Idle Talk
Being occupied with remembrance is an occupation away from vain speech, such as backbiting, gossiping, idle talk, and unnecessary praise or blame. The tongue is never completely silent; it is either a remembering tongue or a vain tongue that speaks nonsense: (Successful indeed are the believers. Those who humble themselves in their prayers. And those who turn away from vain talk) Al-Mu'minun 23:1 to 3.
4. الانشغال عن اللغو
وفي الاشتغال بالذكر اشتغال عن الكلام الباطل، من غيبة، ونميمة، ولغو، ومدح، وذم، فإن اللسان لا يسكت البتة، فإما لسان ذاكر، وإما لسان لاغ، يتكلم اللغو: (قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ * الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ * وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ) المؤمنون 23: 1 إلى 3.
5. Melting the Hardness of the Heart
Among the benefits of remembrance is that the heart contains a hardness that can only be melted by the remembrance of Allah Almighty. The more intense the heedlessness in the heart, the harder it becomes: (So woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah) Az-Zumar 39:22.
5. إذابة قسوة القلب
من فوائد الذكر أن في القلب قسوة لا يذيبها إلا ذكر الله عز وجل، فالقلب كلما اشتدت به الغفلة اشتدت به القسوة: (فَوَيْلٌ لِلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ) الزمر 39 : 22.
6. Comforting and Elevating the Believer
The remembrance of Allah Almighty comforts the believer and elevates him. The remembrance of Allah must be frequent, according to His saying: (O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance. And exalt Him morning and afternoon. It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels, that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful) Al-Ahzab 33:41 to 43.
6. إيناس المؤمن والرقي به
ذكر الله سبحانه وتعالى يؤنس المؤمن، ويرقى به، وذكر الله تعالى يجب أن يكون كثيراً، لقوله تعالى: (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا * وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا * هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا) الأحزاب 33: 41 إلى 43.
7. Being Remembered by Allah
Whoever remembers Allah Almighty, his Lord Almighty remembers him, as He said: (So remember Me; I will remember you).
