One must be kind to their parents. They should not say words that are hurtful; instead, they should speak to them kindly. One must treat them with kindness and mercy, look after their needs, and obey them out of respect, especially as they grow older.” (For your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully. And be humble with them out of mercy, and pray, “My Lord! Be merciful to them as they raised me when I was young.”) Al-Isra’a 17 : 23- 24
يجب أن نعاملهم بإحسان
أن لا نقول لهما كلام جارح و أن نقول لهم كلمة لطيفة
و يجب أن نعاملهم بلطف و رحمة و القيام على شؤونهم و قضاء حوائجهم و طاعة أمرهم. و ذلك تقديرا و احتراما لهما خاصة عندما يصبحا كبيري السن. (وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا ﴿٢٣﴾ وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا ﴿٢٤﴾ الإسراء 17: 23- 24
