In the Name of Almighty Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Surah An-Nas is the 114th and final chapter of the Quran, containing 6 verses. Revealed in Makkah, it is the second of the two Mu’awwidhatayn, the chapters of seeking refuge, teaching the believer to say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers into the hearts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind. Tafsir of the Verses
{ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ }
(1) – قُلْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ: إِنِّي أَعُوذُ وَأَسْتَجِيرُ بِاللهِ وَأَلْجَأُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ تَعَالَى رَبُّ النَّاسِ، وَهُوَ الذِي خَلَقَهُمْ مِنْ عَدَمٍ، وَرَبَّاهُمْ فِي نِعْمَتِهِ وَرَزَقَهُمْ.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 1
1. Say, O Mohammad: “I take refuge with Allah, turn to Him and seek His protection. He is the Lord of men. He created men from nothing. He raised them up in His blessing and gave them sustenance.”
{ مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ }
(2) – وَهُوَ تَعَالَى مَالِكُهُمْ، وَمُدَبِّرُ أُمُورِهِمْ، وَوَاضِعُ الشَّرَائِعِ وَالأَحْكَامِ التِي فِيهَا سَعَادَتُهُمْ.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 2
2. Almighty Allah is the Ruler of men and the Manager of their affairs. He makes the laws and judgements necessary for their happiness.
{ إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ }
(3) – وَهُوَ تَعَالَى معْبُودُ النَّاسِ، وَالمُسْتَولِي عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ بِعَظَمَتِهِ وَجَلاَلِهِ، وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِكُنْهِ سُلْطَانِهِ.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 3
3. He is the Allah of mankind. He captures their hearts by His greatness and majesty. They do not know the essence of His Might.
{ مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ }
(4) – إِنِّي أَلْجَأُ إِلَيْكَ يَا رَبَّ الخَلْقِ وَإِلهَهُمْ أَنْ تُنَجِّينِي مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ المُوَسْوِسِ، الكَثِيرِ الاخْتِفَاءِ عَنْ أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ، الذِي يَذْهَبُ بَالنَّفْسِ إِلَى أَسْوَإِ مَصِيرٍ إِذَا أَطَاعَتْ وَسْوَسَتَهُ، وَانْسَاقَتْ مَعَهُ.
الوَسْوَاسِ – المُوَسْوِسِ.
الخَنَّاسِ – المُتَوَارِي المُخْتَفِي.
الوَسْوَاسِ – المُوَسْوِسِ.
الخَنَّاسِ – المُتَوَارِي المُخْتَفِي.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 4
4. I seek refuge in You, O Lord of Creation! O Lord, save me from the evil of the whispering Satan who conceals himself from the sight of men and would lead them to the worst of fates if they obeyed his whisperings and followed him.
{ ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ }
(5) – وَهَذَا الوَسْوَاسُ الخَنَّاسُ يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ، وَيُزَيِّنُ لَهُم الشَّرَّ وَالسُّوءَ لِيَصْرِفَهُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِ الهُدَى وَالإِيْمَانِ.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 5
5. This slinking Whisperer whispers in the breasts of men and decorates evil and vice for them to lead them away from the right path and from faith.
{ مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ }
(6) – وَقَدْ يَكُونُ هَذَا المُوَسْوِسُ مِنَ الجِنِّ، وَقَدْ يَكُونُ مِنَ البَشَرِ.
الجِنَّةِ – الجِنِّ.
الجِنَّةِ – الجِنِّ.
Surah An-Nas: Verse 6
6. The whisperer could be from among the jinn or from among men.
