بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Surah Al-Layl is the 92nd chapter of the Quran, containing 21 verses. Revealed in Makkah, it opens with oaths by the night as it conceals, the day as it appears in brightness, and the creation of male and female, before setting out two divergent paths: whoever gives in charity, fears Allah, and believes in the best reward will be eased toward ease, while whoever withholds, considers himself self-sufficient, and denies the best reward will be eased toward difficulty. The surah closes by praising the truly reverent one who gives his wealth purely to purify himself, seeking nothing but the Face of his Most High Lord, promising that he will soon be well pleased. Below you can read the full Surah Al-Layl in Arabic with a clear English translation and a verse-by-verse tafsir (explanation of the meaning) from Aysar al-Tafaseer, with the option to jump to any specific verse.
