Which Surahs are named after the events of Judgment Day?
ما هي السور التي تسمت بأحداث تقع في يوم القيامة؟
Several chapters in the Holy Quran are named after the cataclysmic events of the Day of Judgment. The most prominent among them are Surah Al-Takwir (The Enshrouding), Surah Al-Infitar (The Cleaving Asunder), and Surah Al-Inshiqaq (The Splitting Open).
تسمت عدة سور في القرآن الكريم بأهوال وأحداث يوم القيامة: ومن أبرز هذه السور سورة التكوير وسورة الانفطار وسورة الانشقاق.
These three Surahs are closely related in their themes and descriptions of the end of the world. Each name represents a specific physical change in the universe: Al-Takwir refers to the shrouding of the sun: Al-Infitar describes the heavens cleaving apart: and Al-Inshiqaq refers to the sky splitting open.
