First: When their prophet forbade them to kill the she- camel, he told them that God’s torment was close if they did kill her. So when they carried out what they conspired against the camel, their prophet told them.
“You have ˹only˺ three ˹more˺ days to enjoy life in your homes—this is an unfailing promise!”
Secondly: when the day that Allah promised them through their Prophet, came, Allah sent them one great shout from Jibril, so their hearts were ripped off and the earth trembled, and they were thrown to the ground (jathimeen), and the meaning of (jathimeen ) perched: that their chests were in the ground, and legs were vaulted, as the rabbit would kneel, if their bellies were stuck to their legs and they were not moving; that was their doom.
Third: In the Holy Quran, it was stated that the time of this shout was at the morning ” But the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook them in the morning” and the interpreters stated that this violent tremor that disturbed the hearts and souls was the result of a shout by a Great King who shouted at them on Saturday morning, because their Prophet – peace be upon him – warned and informed them that the torment will be after three days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and on Saturday morning they were tormented, and Allah said in the words of Prophet Saleh – peace be upon him – “You have ˹only˺ three ˹more˺ days to enjoy life in your homes—this is an unfailing promise!”
Fourth: Allah Almighty described them in His book as “leaving them like the twigs of fence-builders.”, i.e., they became shattered, shattered, torn scattered here and there, such as wood logs, wood and grass that is meant for sheep.
Fifth: When they perished, Saleh pbuh stood over them as if to bid them farewell, and he stood up to them while they were motionless and said, “So he turned away from them, saying, “O my people! Surely I conveyed to you my Lord’s message and gave you ˹sincere˺ advice, but you do not like ˹sincere˺ advisors.” “, and he turned away and left.
(Then they killed the she-camel—defying their Lord’s command—and challenged ˹Ṣâliḥ˺, “Bring us what you threaten us with, if you are ˹truly˺ one of the messengers.” Then an ˹overwhelming˺ earthquake struck them, and they fell lifeless in their homes.) Al-A’araf 7: 77- 78
( And as for Thamud, We showed and made clear to them the Path of Truth (Islamic Monotheism) through Our Messenger, (i.e. showed them the way of success), but they preferred blindness to guidance, so the Sa’iqah (an awful destructive cry) of disgracing torment seized them, because of what they used to earn.) Fussilat 41:17
(Indeed, We sent against them ˹only˺ one ˹mighty˺ blast, leaving them like the twigs of fence-builders.) Al-Qamar 54:31
