Scholarly Insight: In Islamic theology: the concept of "Habt al-A'mal" (the voiding of deeds) refers to the spiritual consequence where a person's previous righteous actions are neutralized due to the rejection of faith at the time of death. The Holy Quran emphasizes that Islam is the completion of divine guidance: therefore: turning away from it after recognizing its truth is considered a grave loss. Scholars note that the condition for this eternal loss is specifically dying in a state of disbelief: should a person return to Islam before their passing: the door of repentance remains open and their good deeds may be restored by Allah's mercy.
