What are the parts of the day mentioned in the Quran?
The following verses highlight different times of the day, often used by Allah to emphasize specific rituals or to swear by His creation:
(By the dawn) [89:1]
(It is all until the break of dawn.) [97:5]
(By the morning brightness) [93:1]
(...and when you take off your outer clothes at noon...) [24:58]
(By time,) [103:1]
(...then complete the fast until nightfall.) [2:187]
Scholarly Insight: Allah often swears by these times (like the Fajr, Duha, and 'Asr) to draw our attention to the passing of time and the importance of using our hours in righteous deeds and worship.
