Reflections on the Name of Allah: Al-Hakeem
Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ knowledge permeates every aspect of our lives. Everything He’s forbidden is not without reason. Allah’s wisdom lives in you. Every cell is perfectly portioned to serve its purpose. The perfect cooperation of all the cells working together until the time He has called you to return to Him.
(They replied, “Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. You are truly the All-Knowing, All-Wise.”) Al-Baqara 2:32
It is important to trust in Allah’s wisdom and knowledge, even when faced with challenges or circumstances that may seem perplexing or difficult to understand.
Belief in Allah’s attribute of being All-Wise and All-Knowing reminds believers that Allah sees the truth in every situation, even when it may be obscured from human understanding. This recognition encourages individuals to maintain faith and patience, knowing that Allah’s plan unfolds with wisdom and purpose.
Human understanding is limited, and we may not always comprehend the reasons behind certain events or circumstances. However, trusting in Allah’s wisdom allows believers to find solace and reassurance in knowing that He orchestrates everything for a greater purpose.
We should find the good in every situation and Allah Almighty says:
“Perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” Al-Baqara 2: 216
This verse emphasizes the importance of trusting in Allah’s wisdom and accepting His decree, even when it may not align with our immediate desires or understanding.
The Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah: “Mention of fever was made in the presence of the Messenger of Allah pbuh, and a man cursed it. The Prophet pbuh said: ‘Do not curse it, for it erases sin as fire removes filth from iron.'” This Hadith further reinforces the concept that even seemingly adverse situations can serve a beneficial purpose, as they may act as a means of purification and forgiveness of sins.
One should maintain faith and trust in Allah’s wisdom, knowing that He sees the bigger picture and works all things for the ultimate good of His servants. It inspires patience, gratitude, and acceptance of Allah’s decree, even in the face of adversity or uncertainty.
