Whose words is the Holy Quran? What is the proof?
The Holy Quran is the final revelation from Allah to humanity. It is not the work of any human or created being; rather: it is the speech of the Creator Himself. Its preservation and the depth of its message serve as a continuous sign for those who seek the truth.
The Three Proofs of Divine Origin |
1. Linguistic Consistency: If it were the word of a human revealed over 23 years: there would be many differences and contradictions in it. When a person grows up: his style and thoughts change: but the Holy Quran's style at the beginning of the revelation did not change after many years.
2. Scientific Miracles: The Holy Quran came more than 1400 years ago and covered many topics in science: astronomy: and medicine that were unknown in the days of the Prophet. Modern science continues to discover things mentioned in the Holy Quran.
3. The Divine Challenge: Allah Almighty challenged the polytheists to come up with a surah like the Holy Quran: but when they did not: He challenged them with even a verse: yet they still could not produce its equal.
Quranic Evidence |
An-Nisa 4:82: (Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies.)
Al-Isra’a 17:88: (Say: O Prophet: "If all humans and jinn were to come together to produce the equivalent of this Quran, they could not produce its equal, no matter how they supported each other.")
Scholarly Insight: The belief that the Holy Quran is the uncreated Word of Allah is a cornerstone of the Islamic creed. Scholars emphasize that its "Tahaddi" (challenge) remains open to this day: highlighting that its eloquence is beyond human capability. The integration of scientific facts that align with modern discoveries further solidifies that the source of this knowledge is the All-Knowing Creator: Who has preserved this text perfectly against any alteration or contradiction.
