Scholarly Insight: These classifications in the Holy Quran serve as a mirror for the soul. Scholars of Tazkiyah (purification of the self) emphasize that the heart is the center of human intention and action. By identifying the eight healthy traits and twelve sicknesses: a believer can actively work toward a "Qalb Saleem" (Sound Heart). This spiritual diagnosis is fundamental to Islamic psychology: reminding us that our ultimate success depends on meeting Allah with a heart that is submissive: repentant: and at peace with His decree.
